Verse 1

There’s not a crack to be found
In my Jericho wall
I don’t know the day or the time
That it’s gonna fall
But my eyes are set
My fists are clenched
And of Your promises
I am convinced

Chorus

I’ve got a hope that’s defiant
Filled with His promise
Eyes fixed on Jesus
Standing on His faithfulness
Not what I see but what I know
I know my God is in control
It’s why I have this hope
A defiant hope

Verse 2

Oh what a moment of joy
Seeing through eyes of faith
Oh and these sturdy walls
Will one day begin to shake
So fear and doubt
You must go God above
Is still on the throne

Chorus

I’ve got a hope that’s defiant
Filled with His promise
Eyes fixed on Jesus
Standing on His faithfulness
Not what I see but what I know
I know my God is in control
It’s why I have this hope
A defiant hope

Refrain 1

Ohhh ohhh
A defiant hope
Ohhh ohhh
