Verse 1

On Calvary's hill
In morning light
The sinless spotless Savior
Hung upon a tree
A crown of thorns
Upon His head
He suffered at the hands of
Those He came to save

Chorus

Crucified
He was crucified for us
The Son of God
Lay down His earthly life
He cried out
It is finished
Oh the power
The power of the cross

Refrain

The power of the cross

Verse 2

As darkness grew
And filled the skies
The son of God let out His
Final earthly cry
The mocking tongues
Began to cease
The eyes of those who flogged him
Then began to see

Chorus

Crucified
He was crucified for us
The Son of God
Lay down His earthly life
He cried out
It is finished
Oh the power
The power of the cross

Refrain

The power of the cross
The power of the cross

Verse 3

The curtain tore
The whole earth shook
The tombs began to open
Saints began to rise
The power of sin
Forever slain
What looked like a defeat
Would change our destiny

Vamp

Would change our destiny

Chorus

Crucified
He was crucified for us
The Son of God
Lay down His earthly life
He cried out
It is finished
Oh the power
The power of the cross

Refrain

The power of the cross
The power of the cross

Refrain

The power of the cross

Verse 4

Lest I forget
The pain He bore
He took My guilt and shame
I carry them no more
